Tata Nexon EV Gets Two New Updates

Last month, Tata Motors introduced several minor updates on the ICE-powered Nexon SUV. Now, the brand has updated the Nexon EV with similar changes.

The Nexon EV now features newly designed 5-spoke diamond-cut alloy wheels that look similar to the standard Nexon sub-compact SUV. The brand has also offered an updated infotainment system, which now does not get physical buttons and knobs on the center console to control the various functions of the infotainment system like Home, Favorites, Back, Smartphone, Next/Previous, Back, Volume, and Tuner. Now, these functions have been integrated into the 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and the vacant place will feature 'Nexon' lettering in chrome.

Besides these two changes, the Nexon EV remains the same. The electric SUV continues to be available in three variants (XM, XZ+, and XZ+ Lux), which retails from Rs 13.99 lakh to Rs 16.56 lakh (ex-showroom). Tata also offers electrified Nexon's mid-spec XZ+ variant on a subscription basis in select cities, including Delhi, Pune, and Bengaluru.

Powering India's most selling EV is a 129PS permanent magnet synchronous motor that draws its charge from the 30.2 kW Li-ion battery and delivers a peak output of 245Nm. The car has an ARAI-certified maximum range of 312km on a single charge (MIDC cycle). It comes with DC fast charging support that can juice up the battery from 0 to 80% in just 1 hour. However, a regular 15A charger takes up to 8.5 hours for the same.
