Tata Motors Sales Declined By 32 Percent In May 2021

We all know that the second wave of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic has once again locked us inside our houses. As a result, the sales of all vehicles across segments have been hugely affected. And the story for Tata Motors is no different. The homegrown maker has registered a cumulative sale of 24,552 units in the domestic market in May 2021 against the 39,530 units sold in April 2021, witnessing an MoM sales decline of 38%.

In the passenger vehicle (PV) segment, Tata Motors sold 15,181 units in the domestic market as compared to 25,095 units in April 2021. That's a 40% of negative growth in Month-on-Month sales figures. However, compared to the same period last year, the brand has witnessed a growth of 382%.

In the commercial vehicle (CV) segment, the brand has done a total business of 9,371 units in the domestic market, compared to 14,435 units in April month. Exports, on the other hand, too fell by 8% to 2030 units.
