Tata Harrier EV Makes Its Debut At Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2024

Tata Motors has plans to have 10 EVs in its Indian portfolio by 2025. Currently, the carmaker has four electric vehicles on sale, including the recently launched Punch.ev. For this year, the company is expected to introduce two more electric offerings – the Curvv EV and Harrier EV. Both have already been showcased in the past; however, at the ongoing Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2024, Tata again showcased the Harrier EV in a new Emerald Green hue. Here, explore the upcoming mid-size electric SUV in detailed images: –

Front

  • The design of the Harrier EV is reminiscent of its ICE version save for some EV-specific changes, like a closed-off grille with horizontal slates and a differently designed bumper with a streamlined skid plate design.

  • The SUV continues to get connected LED DRLs and vertically placed LED headlamps positioned deep into the corners of the bumper, similar to the ICE version of the facelifted Harrier.

Side

Tata Harrier EV side
  • The profile closely mirrors the ICE version, with the only distinction being the “.ev” badging on the front fenders and a more aerodynamic design for the dual-tone alloy wheels.
  • The EV sports a dual-tone paint finish, featuring a glossy black roof and pillars. It incorporates slim cladding around the wheel arches and thick cladding under the doors, adding a touch of ruggedness to its appearance.

Rear

  • At the rear, you’ll notice the interconnected LED taillights and the Z-shaped wraparound light elements on both sides.
  • The SUV features a roof-integrated rear spoiler, finished in gloss black.
  • The lower section of the rear profile includes a substantial bumper that incorporates a skid plate with vertical design elements.

Tata Harrier.ev India Launch

Platform and Expected Range

Tata will underpin the Harrier EV on the recently revealed Acti.ev platform. We expect it to offer a claimed range of over 500km on a single charge and will get the choice of both single and dual-motor AWD setup.

Expected Launch and Price

Expect Tata Motors to launch the Harrier EV around the festive season, with prices likely to start from around Rs 30 lakh (ex-showroom). Once launched, it will take on the likes of the Mahindra XUV.e8, essentially an electric version of the Mahindra XUV700.
