Tata Motors has announced to increase the prices of its entire model line-up from September 2021. The homegrown carmaker has attributed this upcoming price hike to the increase in overall input costs of steel and precious metals.
The average increment will be around 0.8 percent across the range and the prices will vary for different models. This will be Tata’s third price hike for 2021, following the hikes in January and May, where the prices were increased by up to Rs 26,000 and Rs 36,400, respectively.
Currently, Tata Motors has nine cars in its passenger vehicle portfolio: Tiago, Tigor, Tiago NRG, Altroz, Nexon, Nexon EV, Harrier, Safari, and the Xpres-T, which is exclusive for fleet customers. Here's take a look at their current prices: –
Model | Price Range |
Tata Tiago | Rs 4.99 – 6.95 Lakh |
Tata Tigor | Rs 5.59 – 7.73 Lakh |
Tata Tiago NRG | Rs 6.57 – 7.09 Lakh |
Tata Altroz | Rs 5.79 – 9.55 Lakh |
Tata Nexon | Rs 7.19 – 13.23 Lakh |

All the above-mentioned prices will be valid till August 31, 2021. However, we believe the newly launched Tiago NRG facelift and Xpres-T will be exempted from the upcoming round of increments.
