Suzuki Motorcycle India Teased New Hayabusa On Its Official Website

Suzuki Motorcycles India has officially teased the 2021 Hayabusa on its official website, which clearly means that its launch will happen very soon. In fact, select dealers have also started accepting its unofficial bookings for a token amount ranging between Rs 2 lakh to Rs 5 lakh, depending on the city. If reports are to be believed, the all-new Busa is expected to be launched by end of this month. In all likelihood, it will make its way via the CBU route initially with an expected price around Rs 18 lakh – Rs 20 lakh (ex-showroom). Considering the current COVID-19 situations, deliveries could start by May or June 2021.

For the people not in know, Suzuki has already unveiled the new Suzuki Hayabusa in the global market. It has received several design updates while retaining its brawny silhouette. The electronics aids of the 2021 Hayabusa are the foremost highlight of the bike. It gets an updated semi-digital instrument cluster with a new TFT display placed between the two analog dials, which illustrates a lot of riding info & statics such as riding modes, ambient temperature, lean angle, traction control, etc. Further, it also gets plenty of riding-assistant features like ride-by-wire technology, ten levels of traction control, three levels of engine brake control, ten levels of wheelie control, six-axis IMU, six-rider modes, launch control, speed limiter, cruise control system, hill ascent, and descent control, etc. Suzuki has also improved the hardware of the bike.

The heart of the new Busa is a liquid-cooled, four-cylinder, 1,340cc engine that produces 190PS at 9,700rpm and 150Nm at 7,000rpm – 10PS and 5Nm less than before. The motor is mated to a 6-speed gearbox, which also gets a bi-directional quickshifter for clutchless up and downshifts.

suzuki hayabusa 2021 launch date

As mentioned above, Suzuki is likely to import the bike as a complete build unit in the initial stage, however, the brand could start assembling it in our country at a later stage, which would also result in a price drop. On arrival to our shore, the 2021 Suzuki Hayabusa will rival the likes of BMW S 1000 RR (Rs 19.50-23.75 lakh) and Kawasaki Z H2 (Rs 21.90-25.90 lakh).
