Skoda To Launch Six New EVs By 2026; New-gen Super, Kodiaq To Debut This Year

By 2026, Skoda intends to introduce up to six all-electric vehicles as part of its ambitious electrification plan. The brand has also announced to introduce new-generation Skoda Superb sedan and Kodiaq SUV by this year.

Below are some notable takeaways from Skoda’s recent announcement: –

New-Gen Skoda Kodiaq and Superb

  • The new-generation versions of Skoda Kodiaq and Superb will make their global debut this year. So expect them to hit our shores sometime in 2024.
  • Although details about the new models are scarce at the moment, it has been confirmed that they will feature new & sleeker LED headlights and taillights. Additionally, Skoda has announced that the vehicles will be available in various powertrain options, such as petrol, diesel, mild-hybrid, and plug-in hybrid.
  • The brand has also announced to launch the refreshed Octavia by 2024.

Six New Electric Vehicles Incoming

  • Skoda has disclosed its plans to launch six electric vehicles by 2026, with varied forms and dimensions.
  • Out of the six electric cars, four will be completely new models, while the other two will be revised versions of the Enyaq and Enyaq Coupe.
  • Each of these four new EVs will fall under different categories, which include a small SUV measuring 4.1 meters (by 2025), a compact SUV (by 2024), a Combi Wagon (by 2026), and an MPV (by 2026) that spans a length of 4.9 meters.
  • The Enyaq lineup will be updated by 2025.
  • The compact EV, which is slated to be launched by 2024, will be called ‘ELROQ‘. 
  • Measuring around 4.5m in length, the Skoda Elroq will serve as a successor to the Skoda Karoq, operating solely on electric power.
  • Skoda’s first all-electric estate car, the Combi Wagon, will be approximately 4.70 meters in length.
