Skoda Kylaq Made Its Global Debut; Price Starts From Rs 7.89 Lakh

The highly-anticipated Skoda Kylaq has finally made its global debut. This new sub-4m SUV starts from Rs 7.89 lakh (ex-showroom), making it approximately Rs 45,000 more affordable than the segment leader Maruti Brezza. Its bookings will open on December 2, 2024, while deliveries will commence from January 27, 2025.

Here’s all you need to know about the new Skoda Kylaq.

  • The Kylaq is based on the same MQB-A0-IN platform that underpins the Slavia and Kushaq. Its name is inspired by the Sanskrit word for crystal.
  • Against the measuring tape, the Kylaq measures 3995mm in length, 1619mm in height, and 1783mm in width. It boasts a wheelbase of 2568mm, a ground clearance of 189mm, and a boot capacity of 446 litres, which can be extendable up to 1265 litres with the rear seats folded down.
  • While its length matches the segment-leader Brezza and Nexon, its wheelbase is 66mm and 68mm longer than the Brezza and Nexon, respectively. This should reflect in more cabin space inside the cabin.

  • Interior design is largely similar to its elder siblings, featuring a layered dashboard with a floating touchscreen infotainment taking the centre stage. The other notable features of the SUV include: –
    • 6-way adjustable front seats with ventilation function
    • Auto AC
    • Rear AC vents
    • Wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto
