Until now, only the top-spec Style trim of both the Skoda Slavia and the Kushaq featured six airbags, while lower variants like Ambition, Onyx, and Active were equipped with only two. However, now, six airbags are standard across all variants of both models. This update has led to a price increase of up to Rs 35,000 for the entry-level variants.

Apart from the six airbags, both these Czech Republican offerings also have electronic stability control, ABS with EBD, brake assist, ISOFIX anchors, a tyre pressure monitoring system, a multi-collision braking system, roll-over protection, 3-point seat belts for all, and traction control as standard safety features. Global NCAP has also awarded both these offerings 5-star safety ratings in the past.
Any Mechanical Tweaks?
Skoda hasn’t made any changes underneath their hoods. They continue to be offered with 115PS 1-litre turbo-petrol and 150PS 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engines, paired with either a manual or an automatic transmission (torque converter for 1L unit and DSG for the 1.5L mill).
