Skoda India has finally updated the Kodiaq to the new BS6 Phase-2 emission norms. The SUV continues to be offered in three variants: Style, Sportline and L&K, with prices now starting at Rs 37.99 lakh (ex-showroom).

Skoda has announced an increase in the allocation of Kodiaq for India to 750 units per quarter and strives to sell 3,000 units this year.

2023 Skoda Kodiaq – What’s New?
- While the Skoda Kodiaq looks identical to the outgoing model, it receives a new rear spoiler for better aerodynamics and automatic door edge protectors that only appears when the doors are open.
- The SUV also receives a lounge step for the rear compartment and outer headrests for added comfort.
- Skoda claims that the 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine (190PS/230Nm) of the Kodiaq is now 4.2% more fuel efficient than before. It continues to get a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, powering all four wheels of the car.

What’s Unchanged?
- The car’s interior design has remained unchanged and still comes packed with features such as heated and ventilated front seats, a panoramic sunroof, a three-zone climate control system, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 12-speaker Canton sound system with subwoofer, 10-colour ambient lighting, cruise control, and a digital driver’s display.
- The SUV also gets a Dynamic Chassis Control system which allows the users to adjust the stiffness of the dampers at their convenience.
- The safety of passengers is taken into account with 9 airbags (standard), ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, hill descent control, electric parking brake with auto hold, front & rear parking sensors, and a 360-degree surround-view camera.

In the full-size SUV segment, the Skoda Kodiaq goes up against the diesel offerings like Jeep Meridian, MG Gloster, Isuzu muX and Toyota Fortuner.
