Expanding its market reach in the Indian market, the Czech automaker Skoda has recently inaugurated its new dealerships in seven new cities in the northern part of the country. These include Dehradun (UK), Panchkula (Haryana), Faridabad (Haryana), Prayagraj (UP), Kanpur (UP), Bareilly (UP), and Kota (Rajasthan). Besides, Skoda also opened some additional touchpoints in Gurugram (Haryana), Delhi, Jaipur (Rajasthan), and in the states of Chattisgarh, Jammu & Kashmir, and Himachal Pradesh. This has resulted in 51 customers touchpoints across north India.
Skoda Auto aims at further expansion in 15 cities in north India in 2022, including Amritsar (Punjab), Moradabad (UP), Varanasi (UP), and Roorkee (UK). The brand claims that this rapid expansion of customer touchpoints in north India has powered the 173 percent sales growth from 2019 to 2021 in the region.

Commenting on its network expansion in the north region, Mr. Zac Hollis, Brand Director, ŠKODA Auto India said, “It has been our top priority to widen our network and deepen our penetration pan India. In the other news, Skoda has recently launched the Slavia mid-size sedan in India, which has received over 10,000 bookings so far. It comes in two engines (1L and 1.5L turbo-petrol) and three variants (Active, Ambition, and Style) options, which are priced between Rs 10.69 lakh to Rs 17.79 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
