Royal Enfield is gearing up to launch the Guerrilla 450 on July 17, 2024, at a special event in Barcelona. It is essentially a new roadster, based on the 450 platform. Once launched, it will compete with the Triumph Speed 400.
While it’s not official, the Royal Enfield Guerrilla is expected to be powered by the same Sherpa 450 engine as the new Himalayan. This liquid-cooled 452cc single-cylinder unit makes 39PS at 8,000 rpm and 40Nm at 5,500 rpm. It is likely to come mated to a 6-speed gearbox with assist & slipper clutch.

Design-wise, the Guerrilla 450 will feature an upright riding position with wide handlebars. It is expected to come equipped with a circular LED headlamp, a single-pod instrument cluster, and a single-piece seat complemented by a split grab handle. Its fuel tank and tail sections echo the design language of the Himalayan 450, indicating that some elements have been carried over. However, instead of the Himalayan’s spoked wheels and tube tyres, this bike features modern alloy wheels and tubeless tyres. Additionally, it opts for a gaitered telescopic fork, replacing the Himalayan’s upside-down (USD) fork. For anchoring, it will get disc brakes at both ends.
We expect Royal Enfield to price the new Guerrilla 450 from around Rs 2.35 lakh (ex-showroom).
Keep an eye out for more updates as we get closer to this eagerly awaited date.
