Renault India has updated the Kwid entry-level hatchback for 2022, with added features and new color options. The brand has also rejigged its variant lineup. Here’s a look at its updated variant list and their prices: –

2022 Renault Kwid – What’s New?
Variant Rejig: – As the above table indicates, Renault has discontinued the base-spec RXE, mid-spec RXT 0.8, and RXL 1.0 AMT variants. With this, the RXL has now become the entry-level variant of the Kwid.
The carmaker has also introduced a new RXL (O) trim that is available with both powertrain options.
Prices: – In terms of prices, the new base-spec RXL trim has become cheaper by up to Rs 9,000, whereas the asking rates of RXT and Climber variants have gone up by up to Rs 13,000.

New Features: – For 2022, Renault has improved the safety quotient of the hatchback by offering the driver’s seatbelt with pre-tensioner and load limiter as standard fitment across the lineup.
The top-of-the-line Climber variant has also gotten a new set of 14-inch dual-tone flex wheels. Inside, the orange highlights on the door trim as well as around the 7-inch infotainment system have now been replaced with white, giving a fresh appearance to the cabin. Besides, the black seats get a yellow contrast finish.
New Colour Options: – Going with the trend, Renault Kwid now gets two new dual-tone paint options: Metal Mustard and Ice cool White with the black roof. In addition, two new monotone shades: Moonlight Silver and Zanskar Blue have also been introduced.
Renault hasn’t made any mechanical changes to the car. It continues to be enlisted with the choice of 0.8-litre (54PS/76Nm) and 1.0-liter petrol (68PS/91Nm) engines. Both mills get a 5-speed manual transmission as a standard offering, while the AMT is limited to the 1.0-liter unit.
In the entry-level hatchback segment, the Renault Kwid goes up against the Maruti S-Presso and Datsun Redi-GO.
