Note: There was a nationwide lockdown in April 2020, that's why we haven't compared April 21's sales figures with the last year.

  • The Maruti Suzuki Baleno continues to be the most favorite premium hatchback of the country even though it witnessed a drop of approximately 23% in MoM sales. The sales figures dropped from 21,217 units in March to 16,384 units last month. That's a huge fall of 4833 units. However, its market share is the highest in the segment.

  • Tata's Altroz took the second spot on the sales chart by overtaking the Hyundai i20 by 1647 units.

  • The Korean hatchback managed to be in third place for April 2021 with the highest fall in Month-on-Month sales figures.

  • Though the Honda Jazz failed to cross the 1000-unit mark in April 2021, its MoM growth was the highest among all.
