Pre-Launch Bookings Open For 2022 Audi A8L

  • Pre-launch bookings are now open for the facelifted Audi A8L.
  • Unlike the ongoing model, the new A8L will be available in two trims: Celebration and Technology.
  • Will get 340PS 3.0-liter V6 diesel engine with Quattro all-wheel-drivetrain and 48V mild-hybrid technology.

Audi has given its flagship A8L saloon a mid-life facelift update last year. And now, the carmaker is set to bring it to our shores. Interested customers can now pre-book the new Audi A8L for a token amount of Rs 10 lakh. It is expected to be launched by end of this month.

2022 Audi A8L: What’s New?

Being a facelift version, the 2022 Audi A8L receives some extensive visual changes as well as a few new features.

For beginners, the new Audi A8 has received a reworked front fascia, featuring a wider single-frame grille with a studded chrome finish, a tweaked front bumper with more upright air intakes on the sides, and new chrome surrounds for the fog lamps. It also gains digital Matrix LED headlamps as well as new digital OLED tail lamps.

Things remain largely unchanged inside the cabin, except for the introduction of new MIB 3 software for the 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment unit. Other features on offer will include a full TFT virtual cockpit instrument console, 8.6-inch touch-controlled panel, two 10.1-inch screens for rear-seat entertainment, ADAS tech, etc. Besides, Audi will continue to offer the A8L with a host of cabin customization options, including the Rear Relaxation package that features reclining seats, foot massager, etc.

Powertrain

Expect Audi to offer the facelifted A8L in India with the ongoing 3.0-liter, 6-cylinder, turbo-petrol engine (340PS/540Nm), paired with an 8-speed Tiptronic automatic gearbox, Quattro all-wheel-drive, and 48V mild-hybrid technology. Globally, it also comes with 4.0-liter V8 TFSI petrol and a TFSI e plug-in hybrid powertrain.
