Porsche Taycan Recalled Worldwide Over A Potential Braking Issue

Porsche has issued a recall for all models of Taycan worldwide, manufactured since its launch in 2020. A small number of this performance sedan have been identified with an issue with the front brake hoses, developing cracks that cause brake fluid leakage, thereby reducing brake pressure, which can lead to brake failure.

The German luxury carmaker hasn’t disclosed the exact number of cars affected by the recall. However, it has sold over 1.5 lakh Taycans worldwide. Porsche has stated that cars with this fault will show a warning light on the dashboard. If owners see a warning light, they should drive their cars to their nearest dealerships. However, if a red light appears, they should immediately refrain from using the car and contact Porsche.

Porsche will soon start contacting owners of affected units, requesting them to bring their vehicles to authorized dealerships for a free hose replacement. The procedure will take roughly two hours and will not impact the vehicle’s warranty.
