Piaggio Launched The 75th Anniversary Edition Vespa In India

To commemorates the 75 years of Vespa, the Piaggio Group has launched the 75th Anniversary Editions of the Vespa 125 and Vespa 150 models in the Indian market. While the former is priced at Rs 1,25,996, the latter will set you back by Rs 1,39,090 (both ex-showroom prices). Interested customers can book either of the scooters for a token amount of Rs 5,000 from their nearest Vespa dealership.

Vespa 75th Anniversary Edition – What's New? 

To make the 75th Anniversary Edition distinct from the standard model, the brand has dressed the scooter in a glossy Gialo livery with the number ‘75’ on the front fender and side panels. It also gets a dark grey Nobuk leather-feel seat cover and a premium round bag of the same material that can be simply mounted on the rear retractable rack and comes with a special welcome kit inside. Besides, these editions roll on smoked grey wheels and get a slightly tinted flyscreen that unquestionably enhances its overall appeal.

Besides, these aforementioned differences, both the scooter remains unchanged. That said, both the models will continue to get features like LED illumination, a semi-digital instrument cluster, a USB charger, a boot light, and tons of chrome inserts for an elegant appeal. Both the 125cc and the 150cc variants get a 200mm disc brake upfront, along with a Combined Braking System (CBS) for the 125cc model and an Antilock Braking System (ABS) for the 150cc model.

Vespa 75th Anniversary Edition – Engines

Powering the Vespa 125 75th Anniversary Edition is the same 125cc air-cooled 3-valve motor as the standard model that churns out 9.92PS and 9.60Nm. On the other hand, the Vespa 150 develops its power from the 10.47PS/10.60Nm 150cc air-cooled motor.

Competitors

In the Indian market, the Vespa 125 and 150 lock horns with the Aprilia SXR 125 and SXR 160 premium scooters.
