Next Generation Apple Carplay To Come With iOS 16

Apple Inc has recently previewed the iOS 16 ahead of its official release in September 2022. With this, the tech giant will roll out the next-generation version of the Apple CarPlay that won’t be just limited to the car’s infotainment system. Yes, you read it right. Apple will take the CarPlay to the next level for a more cohesive experience. Let’s take a look at all the new features of the next-generation version of Apple CarPlay: –

  • The new Apple CarPlay will cover all of the car’s screens for a more in-depth user experience. That means, content from the CarPlay can be displayed on multiple screens within the vehicle, resulting in a consistent and harmonious experience.
  • This new version of Apple CarPlay is designed to be specific to each vehicle, accommodating various screen shapes and layouts.

Climate Control Support In Next-Generation Apple Carplay
  • It will also have features like a pre-set auto-send message function for Siri, control of the radio and climate control system of the car, and predictive navigation with the option to add up to 15 stops in advance. Transit updates will also be available in Apple Maps, making it easy for riders to estimate the cost of their trip.
  • With the fueling and driving task apps, the latest version of Apple CarPlay will also help you fill your tank/charge battery and provide you with road information, toll support, towing help, etc.
  • Apple will share more information about the next generation of CarPlay in the future, whereas the list of the vehicles that will support the latest version of Apple CarPlay will start to be announced late next year. However, Volvo has already announced that it will offer the support of new CarPlay in its cars in the future.
