New Mercedes-AMG C43 Sedan Launched In India At Rs 98 Lakh

Mercedes has expanded its AMG lineup in India by launching the entry-level AMG C43 in a four-door sedan body style with a price tag of Rs 98 lakh (ex-showroom).

What Powers The Mercedes-AMG C43?

The all-new Mercedes-AMG is powered by a 2-litre, 4-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine that produces an impressive power output of 408PS and a peak torque of 500Nm. The power is sent to all four wheels through a 9-speed automatic transmission that enables the sedan to complete the century sprint in 4.6 seconds before attaining a top speed of 265 kmph.

State-of-Art Technologies

Inspired by the Formula 1 racing cars, this performance sedan also benefits from an electric exhaust gas turbocharger, which comprises a 48V electric motor delivering quick response to the gas pedal at all rev bands.

Further sweetening the driving experience is the AMG Ride Control steel-spring suspension system, which includes an adaptive damping system. This technology can automatically adjust the suspension’s firmness at each wheel based on the driver’s preference and road conditions. Users can also choose from three damping modes: Comfort, Sport and Sport+.

Mercedes has also equipped the AMG C43 with rear-axle steering, with a maximum steering angle of 2.5 degrees. This enables the rear wheels to turn in the opposite direction of the front wheels at speeds of up to 60 kmph, allowing the sedan to steer easier in tighter spaces.

It also benefits from a 3-stage AMG parameter steering system that provides steering assistance depending on the speed and drive mode. It makes manoeuvring easy at low speeds and increases steering feedback at high speeds or in Sport and Sport+ mode.
