New Kia Carens Clavis (Carens Facelift) Revealed; Bookings Opening Tonight

After multiple sightings and numerous teasers, the Kia Carens Clavis, which is actually the facelift version of the Carens, has finally been revealed in India. Its bookings will open at midnight tonight for a token amount of Rs 25,000. It will be sold alongside the existing Kia Carens.

Kia Carens Clavis (Carens Facelift) – Design

In a transition from Carens to Clavis, the MPV has undergone some significant design changes inside and out. The front facia is all-new, reminding you of the Kia EV5 sold globally. It gets a three-pod LED headlamp setup in a triangular housing, covered by inverted L-shaped LED DRLs, providing it an aggressive look. Similar to the Kia Syros, its grille is blanked off. However, the blacked-out portion on the bumper, complemented by a silver faux skid plate, provides it a striking appearance.

The silhouette of the MPV remains largely unchanged, with the key update on the side being the new 17-inch dual-tone alloy wheels featuring a star-like pattern.

Towards the rear, it gets a slightly redesigned rear gate with Kia Carnival-like connected LED tail lamps and a redesigned bumper with a silver faux skid plate like the front.

The silhoutte of the MPV remains largely unchanged. The key change on the side can be seen in the form of 17-inch dual-tone alloy wheels with star-like pattern design.

Kia Carens Clavis – Interior and Features

Like the exterior, the interior also receives some notable changes, including a new dashboard design with a twin-connected display taking the centre stage. It also gets a new 2-spoke steering wheel, which was recently introduced on the Kia Syros. It also features a few physical controls below the centre screen to control both AC and infotainment functions.

Like the Carens, the Kia Clavis will also be offered in 6- and 7-seater configurations.
