MG Posts 53% Growth In Sept 2022; ZS EV Records Highest Ever Monthly Sales

MG enjoyed the festivities this year, selling 4,367 units in October 2022, a 53 per cent increase against the same month last year. A personal high was also achieved by MG in October 2022 as 784 units of the ZS EV sold last month, the highest monthly sales figure for the electric SUV so far.

The increased sales are attributed to relief in the supply of semiconductor chips, which also helped MG to achieve its highest-ever production count of 5,008 units in October 2022.

Currently, MG Motor has five products in its Indian portfolio, namely Astor, Hector, Hector Plus, ZS EV and Gloster. The Hector SUV will soon receive a generation update, probably by year-end. Besides, a compact electric vehicle (based on the Wuling Air) will also join the MG lineup in the coming months.
