MG M9 Bookings Now Underway In India

JSW MG Motor has commenced bookings for the M9 luxury MPV in India for a token amount of Rs 51,000. This electric luxury MPV was first revealed at the 2025 Auto Expo and is set to be launched in the coming weeks. MG has plans to locally assemble the M9 in India, which will help the brand to price it very competitively. It will be sold via MG Select premium dealerships.

MG M9 – Battery and Range

The new MG M9 EV will be offered with a 90 kWh battery pack, with a claimed range of 430 kilometres on a single charge. Powering it will be a front-axle mounted motor that produces 244PS and 350Nm. As for charging, the M9 is compatible with a 120kW DC fast charger, which can juice its battery pack from 30% to 80% in just 30 minutes.

MG M9 – Design and Features

The M9 features a boxy, elongated design, with dimensions measuring over 5 meters in length. It gets connected LED DRLs and projector headlamps for enhanced visibility and electric sliding doors for easy access. MG will offer it in both 6 and 7-seating configurations.

Inside, the MG M9 features a minimalist dashboard design, sporting a clean layout with dual screens and an elegant black & tan interior theme, complemented by soft-touch materials spread across the dashboard, door panels and centre console. Regarding features, the M9 will come loaded with the following amenities: –

  • A floating infotainment
  • Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
  • Digital driver’s display
  • Dedicated display for front passengers
  • Three-zone climate control
  • 12-speaker sound system
  • Powered front & 2nd-row seats with ventilation & eight massage modes
  • Rear entertainment screens
  • A single-pane electric sunroof for the front occupants
  • A panoramic sunroof for rear passengers
  • Front & rear parking sensors
  • A 360-degree camera
  • Disc brakes on all four wheels
  • Electronic parking brake
  • Level-2 ADAS with features like adaptive cruise control, forward collision avoidance assist, auto emergency braking and more.

MG M9 – Expected Price and Rivals

We expect MG to price the M9 around Rs 60-70 lakh (ex-showroom), placing it as an affordable alternative to the Kia EV9.
