MG Motor India has extended the variant line-up of its flagship Gloster SUV with the introduction of the new top-spec 7-seater Savvy variant at Rs 37.28 lakh (ex-showroom). Earlier, this trim was only available in a 6-seater configuration.

As apparent from the above table, the pricing of the new Savvy 7-seater model is equivalent to its 6-seater counterpart. Besides the difference in seating layout, both 6-and 7-seater Savvy trims come with the same set of features that mainly comprises a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, connected car technology with remote engine and AC start/stop functions, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 12-speaker sound system, heated & ventilated front seats, powered driver’s seat with massage function, tri-zone climate control, panoramic sunroof, automatic LED headlamps, rain-sensing wipers, cornering lamps, wireless charging, multiple driving modes and more.

Passenger safety is covered by six airbags, ABS with EBD, parking sensors, an electronic stability program, a traction control system, a hill-hold/descent control, rear disc brakes, and a 360-degree camera. It also gets the segment-first level-1 autonomous driving techs, including auto park assist, adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, lane-keep assist, forward-collision warning, and autonomous emergency braking, etc.
As mentioned above, the Gloster is available with two diesel engines: a 2.0-liter turbo diesel (163PS/375Nm) and a 2.0-liter twin-turbo diesel (218PS/480Nm). The Savvy variant only comes with the dual-turbo unit, mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission that sends power to all four wheels.
