MG Motor India has once again revamped the Comet lineup, this time with a primary focus on introducing variants equipped with fast charging options. As a result, the Comet’s price now reaches Rs 9.14 lakh (ex-showroom).

MG Comet EV New Variant Lineup and Price List
Earlier, the MG Comet EV was available in Pace, Play and Plush variants. However, they have now been renamed to Executive, Excite, and Exclusive variants.
The Excite and Exclusive variants of the Comet EV are now available with a faster 7.4kWh AC charger. However, the company has yet to reveal the charging time.
Variants with fast-charging options also receive new features, like creep mode, rear disc brakes, electronic stability control, electronic parking brake, hill hold control, power-folding side mirrors with body-color finish.
Features like LED lighting system, digital instrument cluster, 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment, Apple Carplay and Android Auto, connected car tech, smart start system, manual AC with heater, steering mounted control, dual-front airbags, tyre pressure monitoring system, 3-point seat belts for all, manual day/night IRVM, ISOFIX anchors, reverse parking camera, etc, continue to be on offer.
Besides the new faster charging option, the EV will continue to be offered with the 3.3kW AC charger, which takes roughly 7 hrs to juice the battery pack fully.
The Comet EV continues to get a 17.3kWH battery pack that claims 230 kilometres of range on a single charge. It features a single, rear-axle-mounted motor that produces 42PS and 110Nm.
Competitors
While the Comet EV doesn’t have any direct rival, it can be seen as an affordable alternative to the Tata Tiago EV and Citroen eC3.
