We all know that Toyota is gearing to unveil the all-new Innova Hycross in November. Now, rumours are suggesting that this upcoming strong-Hybrid MPV will also be rebadged for Maruti Suzuki as part of their global alliance.
Unlike the ongoing Toyota Innova Crysta which is a ladder-frame-based MPV, the Innova HyCross will sit on a monocoque platform. It is likely to be offered with a 190PS 2.0-litre self-charging strong-hybrid petrol engine that will propel the front wheels of the car. There will be no diesel powertrain on offer.

Maruti’s version of the Innova Hycross will also be built upon the same platform and carry the same powertrain. However, both MPVs could look different from each other. But we don’t expect any significant changes inside the cabin.
In terms of features, the upcoming MPVs will be loaded with an electric sunroof, a powered tailgate, electronic parking brakes, a 360-degree surround view system, flat flooring for more space, an “ottoman function” for the captain seats in 2nd row, and most importantly the Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) that should include Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Departure Assist, Road Sign Assist, Proactive Driving Assist and Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection.
