The auto industry is among those sectors that have been badly affected by the global pandemic and the nationwide lockdown. However, as we are moving to a new normal, market situations are getting better with each passing day. The sales records of the largest passenger car maker of India, Maruti Suzuki has also indicated the same. The Indian maker has sold a total of 1,24,624 units in August 2020 and witnessed a growth of 15.3% over July 2020 and a 17.1% over August 2019.
The massive recovery is supported by a total domestic sales of 115,325 units and 1,379 units for other OEMs. However, exports registered a negative figure for its year-on-year sales for August 2020.
