Maruti Baleno Waiting Period Detailed

The Maruti Suzuki Baleno, known for its practical design, lively engine and numerous features, remains highly popular among buyers. However, its immense popularity also results in a high waiting period for the premium hatch. As per reports, the Maruti Baleno currently has a waiting period of up to 8 months.

The waiting period for the Maruti Baleno is currently ranging between 1 to 8 weeks, depending on the city and variant choice. In most metropolitan areas, it commands an average waiting period of 3 to 4 weeks.

Variants and Features

Maruti Suzuki offers the Baleno in four variants – Sigma, Delta, Zeta and Alpha, equipped with features like automatic LED headlamps with DRLs, 16-inch machine-cut alloy wheels, a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto, connected car tech, coloured MID, a heads-up display (HUD), auto-dimming IRVM, height-adjustable driver seat, cruise control, push-button start/stop, a 360-degree camera, hill hold, electronic stability control, and up to six airbags.

Engine Options

Powering the Maruti Baleno is a 1.2-litre, 4-cylinder, DualJet DualVVT petrol engine( 90PS and 113Nm), mated to either a 5-speed manual gearbox or a 5-speed AMT unit. Its manual version is also available with a factory-fitted CNG kit that generates a slightly lower output of 77PS and 98.5Nm.

Price and Competition Check

Priced between Rs 6.66 lakh and Rs 9.88 lakh (ex-showroom), the Maruti Baleno competes with the Hyundai i20, Tata Altroz and its rebadged version, the Toyota Glanza.
