Mahindra has finally revealed the prices for the XUV400 electric SUV after taking the covers off in September 2022. The EV will be available in two variants: EC and EL. Here’s a look at their prices: –

The above-mentioned prices are introductory and will be valid for the first 5,000 bookings of each variant. The brand will open the order books for the EV on January 26.
For those who aren’t aware, the Mahindra XUV400 is essentially an electric version of the XUV300, with some minor EV-specific changes, such as a closed grille, new alloy wheels, redesigned taillight, tweaked bumpers at both ends, and copper accent inside and out. Measuring around 4.2 meters in length, the EV is also slightly longer than its ICE version.

Speaking of the features, Mahindra has equipped the XUV400 with a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple Carplay and Android Auto, connected car tech with remote control functionality, OTA updates support, auto AC, an electric sunroof, a height-adjustable driver’s seat, an electric sunroof, six airbags, electronic stability control (ESC), cornering brake control, ISOFIX child seat anchorages and all four disc brakes, ABS with EBD, and a rear parking camera with sensors. The SUV also gets first-in-segment frequency-dependent dampers and MTV-CL (multi-tunable valve with concentric land) technology for optimum comfort.

Battery Pack, Range and Charging Time
The Mahindra XUV400 comes with two battery pack options. The EC variant gets the 34.5kWh pack, while the EL gets a larger 39.4kWh unit. While the former promises a range of 375km, the latter claims 456km on a single charge. A 150PS/310Nm electric motor will power the XUV400 regardless of variant. Further sweetening the driving dynamics are three available driving modes: FUN, FAST and FEARLESS. Mahindra claims the XUV400 can do the 0-100 kmph sprint in just 8.3 seconds before achieving a top speed of 160 kmph.
Colour Options
The SUV is available in five attractive exterior shades: Arctic Blue, Everest White, Galaxy Grey, Napoli Black and Infinity Blue.
