Mahindra XEV 9e and BE 6 Can Now Be Unlocked Through Samsung Wallet

The Mahindra BE 6 and XEV 9e can now be locked/unlocked and start using the Digital Car Key through Samsung Wallet. This will eliminate the need to carry the physical key fobs altogether, while making it easier to share vehicle access with family and friends.

For those unaware, a Samsung Wallet is a secure, all-in-one digital app for Samsung Galaxy smartphones that allows users to conveniently store and access important digital items like credit/debit cards/UPI details for contactless payments, digital IDs and boarding passes, membership cards and tickets, and of course digital keys for supported vehicles. Security-wise, it is protected by Samsung Knox, which is a hardware-level encryption.

If a Samsung device with a Digital Car Key is lost or stolen, users can use the Samsung Fing service to remotely lock the device or delete all stored data, including the digital key. This way, it provides an extra layer of protection. The biometrics and PIN-based authentication further ensure that your Samsung Wallet can only be accessed by authorised users, maintaining both privacy and vehicle security at all times.

Apart from the Mahindra XUV 9e and BE 6, cars like the Hyundai Alcazar, Creta Electric and Tata Harrier EV also get digital key support.
