MG Motor India Equips All Cars with PM 2.5 Air Filters

Air pollution is a big problem in metropolitan cities, especially in the winter season due to firecrackers, stubble burning and other factors. When inhaled, this harmful air can cause serious health issues like asthma, COPD, bronchitis, and cardiovascular problems. To prevent such polluted air from entering your body while driving, JSW MG Motor has announced to offer the advanced PM 2.5 Air Filters and Air Purifiers across its product range, comprising Comet EV, Windsor EV, Astor, Hector, ZS EV and Gloster.

The Hector will also feature an in-built Air Quality Index (AQI) display, which will show how clean or polluted the air is inside the vehicle’s cabin in real time.

What is a PM 2.5 Air Filter?

PM here stands for Particulate Matter, and 2.5 refers to particles that are 2.5 micrometres or less in diameter. Such cabin air filters are designed to trap fine dust particles that can easily enter your lungs, causing breathing issues and allergies. They are generally installed in your car’s HVAC system.

  • Odour Removal: Eliminates odour using an activated carbon filter.
  • Kill Germs: Destroy airborne bacteria and viruses.
  • Reduce Fatigue: Prevents headaches and drowsiness by keeping oxygen levels clean and stable.

In short, an in-car air purifier helps you breathe cleaner & healthier air, making your daily drives safe and more comfortable.
