Tata Motors Records 67,753 Passenger Vehicle Sales In August 2026

Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles has announced sales figures for August 2026. The homegrown carmaker has recorded total sales of 67,753 units in the domestic and international markets last month, witnessing 56% year-on-year growth from 43,315 units sold in the same month last year.

  • Tata’s domestic passenger vehicle sales stood at 65,253 units, registering a 59% growth compared to 41,001 units in August 2025.
  • International sales, meanwhile, increased 8% year-on-year to 2,500 units from 2,314 units.
  • What’s more interesting is that Tata’s electric vehicle (EV) sales saw an even stronger performance in August 2026. The company sold 16,549 EVs across domestic and international markets, marking a 94% jump over the 8,540 units sold in August 2025.

Overall, the strong August performance reflects continued growth in Tata Motors’ passenger vehicle and EV volumes, with electric models accounting for a significant portion of the company’s sales.

In other news, Tata Motors has increased the prices across its portfolio by up to Rs 25,000, covering both internal combustion engine (ICE) and electric vehicles (EV). However, the model-wise revised price lists are yet to be revealed.
