2025 New Mahindra Thar facelift

Mahindra has begun testing the facelift update of the 3-door Thar, and its camouflaged version has recently been spotted on Indian roads.

2025 Mahindra Thar Facelift – Design Changes and Features

Going by the spy shots, the new Mahindra Thar 3-door will feature subtle design tweaks to the exterior. The camouflage at the front and rear suggests that it will feature a redesigned grille with updated LED headlamps, tweaked bumpers at both ends, a new taillamp setup, a fresh set of alloy wheels and slightly revised fenders & side cladding for added appeal.

Inside, the SUV will retain the existing dashboard design; however, it will borrow some new design bits and techs from the bigger Thar Roxx, like a 10.25-inch floating infotainment with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a digital instrument cluster and automatic climate control. It is also expected to get ventilated front seats, keyless entry with engine start/stop button, standard six airbags and even a sunroof.

No Mechanical Changes

We do not expect any mechanical changes underneath the hood. Mahindra is expected to retain the existing 1.5-litre diesel, 2-litre mStallion turbo-petrol and 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engines, with the latter two to continue with a standard 6-speed manual gearbox and an optional 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. Both RWD and 4×4 drivetrain configurations will also remain on offer.
