Bajaj Auto has announced a price cut of Rs 5,000 on the Freedom 125 through its social media handles. The reduced price applies only to the base-spec NG04 Drum variant.

For those unaware, Bajaj offers the Freedom 125 in three variants – NG04 Drum, NG04 Drum LED and NG04 Disc LED. Here’s a look at their revised price list: –

Bajaj Freedom 125 VariantsEx-Showroom Price

NG04 Drum LEDRs 95,981
NG04 Disc LEDRs 1,10,976

With the latest price cut, the Bajaj Freedom has become quite comparable to the other 125cc bikes. For reference, the Honda Shine ranges between Rs 85,021 and Rs 89,772 (ex-showroom). This step is to push its sales as the Freedom is struggling to get mass adoption due to limited awareness and trust in CNG bikes. In April 2025, the bike only found 993 takers compared to 1394 unit sales in March 2025.

With the latest price cut, the bike might attract some buyers, especially fleet operators. However, we believe Bajaj should focus more on a public awareness campaign to create trust among customers.
