Kia Motors India has recalled the diesel trims of Seltos compact SUV due to the possible issue with the fuel pump. Currently, we don't know the exact recalled numbers, but the affected models were manufactured between October 1, 2019, and March 15, 2020.
Owners of these affected models will be required to bring their car to their nearby Kia service centre for inspection purposes and if required, the defective component will be changed without any charges.
What is the exact issue?
As per the gathered information, some of Seltos's 1.5-litre diesel models have a tiny hole at the bottom of the fuel pump or a crack in its assembly, which could lead to low pickup and vibrations. In some situations, the vehicle may face difficulty in starting. If you are also experiencing any of these problems with your diesel Seltos, we advise you to contact your nearest Kia authorized service station.
