Jeep has launched special edition models of both the Compass and Meridian SUVs, called the “Trail Edition”. These editions bring several cosmetic enhancements to the SUVs. They are based on the Compass Longitude (O) and Meridian Limited (O) trims.

Jeep Compass and Meridian Trail Edition – What’s New?
The Compass Trail Edition gets new Trail Edition decals on the hood and sides, along with matte black grille accents, and a Neutral Grey finish on the grille rings, roof rails, badges, and side mirrors. The SUV also gets Granite Metallic Satin Gloss finish for the 18-inch dual-tone alloy wheels.
Inside, the SUV receives black leatherette upholstery with red stitching, dashboard highlights, and Trail Edition-branded all-weather floor mats.

The Meridian Trail Edition also comes with a hood decal, black roof, and Trail Edition badging. It also gets grey accents on the grille, headlamp surrounds, roof rail inserts, badges, and side cladding. Furthermore, there’s the gloss black detailing on various parts, along with red highlights on the front bumper. The interior is finished in a similar way to the Compass Trail Edition.

Jeep Trust Program
The American auto giant has also introduced a new program called “Jeep Trust”. With this, Compass Trail Edition buyers will get a complimentary 3-year Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC), a 5-year extended warranty and a direct cash benefit of Rs 20,000.
On the other hand, the Meridian Trail Edition customers will get a complimentary 3-year AMC.
Powertrain
Both the Trail Edition models will come equipped with a 2-litre turbocharged diesel engine (170PS/350Nm), mated to either a 6-speed manual or a 9-speed torque converter automatic transmission.
While the Compass Trail Edition is limited to a front-wheel-drive setup, the Meridian Trail Edition is also available with the all-wheel drive configuration.
Competition Check
The Jeep Compass locks horns with the select variants of Tata Harrier, Hyundai Tucson, and Citroen C5 Aircross, while the Jeep Meridian rivals the Toyota Fortuner, MG Gloster, and Skoda Kodiaq.
