Hyundai Aura Gets A New CNG Variant At Rs 8.57 Lakh

• The Aura CNG sedan is now available in higher-spec SX trim.
• It is Rs 95,000 more expensive than the petrol-only SX variant.
• Claimed to deliver a fuel efficiency of 28km/kg.
• Restricted to a 5-speed manual transmission only.

In order to extend the variant lineup of Hyundai Aura CNG, the brand has now offered the eco-friendly sub-4m sedan in a new top-of-the-line SX trim at Rs 8.57 lakh (ex-showroom). Earlier, it was limited to the mid-spec S variant. 

Here’s a quick look at the complete variant lineup of Hyundai Aura CNG with their prices: –

As the above table indicates, the new Aura CNG SX trim is around Rs 69,000 more expensive than the S trim. For this added premium, this new trim gets a host of new features such as 15-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, steering-mounted audio controls, power-adjustable & foldable wing mirrors, keyless entry with push-button start, and a reversing camera.

Powering the Aura CNG is a 1.2-liter petrol engine linked with a factory-fitted CNG kit that makes 69PS/95Nm in CNG mode and 83PS/114Nm in petrol mode. The CNG variants can only be had with a 5-speed manual transmission, whereas the AMT is limited to petrol-only models. It is claimed to offer a fuel efficiency (mileage) of 28km/kg.

With the launch of a feature-loaded Aura CNG variant, the car has become a more prominent offering against the Tata Tigor CNG and Maruti Dzire CNG.
