Hyundai India has opened bookings for the Creta Electric for a token amount of Rs 25,000. The carmaker’s most affordable EV will be launched at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 on January 17th, 2025. However, ahead of its launch, the Korean carmaker has announced some of the details of the upcoming EV.
Hyundai Creta EV Battery and Variants
The Hyundai Creta EV will be offered with two battery choices: 42kWh and 51.4kWh. The smaller battery pack has an ARAI-certified range of 390 kilometres, while the bigger battery pack offers 473 kilometres of range.
The Creta EV will be offered in five variants: Executive, Smart, Smart (O), Premium, and Excellence. Here’s a look at the variant-wise battery options: –

- The Creta Electric’s entry-level Executive, Smart and Premium variants are only available with a 42kWh battery pack.
- The mid-spec Smart (O) is the only variant which is available with both 42 kWh and 51.4 kWh battery pack options.
- The range-topping Excellence variant will only be offered with the 51.4 kWh battery pack.
- Hyundai has yet to reveal the powertrain specifications of the EV.

Hyundai Creta Electric Colour Options
The Creta Electric will be offered in eight monotone and two dual-tone colour options, including three matte colours.
- Monotone Shades: Atlas White, Ocean Blue, Starry Night, Abyss Black Pearl, Fiery Red Pearl, Ocean Blue Matte, Titan Grey Matte, and Robust Emerald Matte
- Dual-tone Shades: Atlas White with black roof and Ocean Blue with black roof
Expected Price and Rivals
Prices for the Hyundai Creta EV are expected to start from Rs 17 lakh (ex-showroom), placing it against the Mahindra BE 6, Tata Curvv EV, MG ZS EV, and the upcoming Maruti eVitara.
