Kia Syros Bookings Now Open; Launch In February

Kia India has started accepting bookings for the SYROS ahead of its launch in February 2025. Interested customers can reserve the Syros online or offline with a token amount of Rs 25,000.

Here’s a quick overview of the upcoming Kia Syros: –

  • The Kia Syros is a premium alternative to the Sonet.
  • It will be offered in six variants: HTK, HTK (O), HTK+, HTX, HTX+ and HTX+ (O).
  • Design-wise, the Syros is distinctive from the crowd of conventionally styled sub-4m SUVs, featuring a unique boxy, tall-boy design that draws inspiration from the flagship Kia EV9. It exudes a rugged and muscular vibe. The key styling elements include vertical headlamps L-shaped DRLs, flush-fitting door handles, and a flat rear end with L-shaped LED tail lamps. Head here for more details.
  • Inside, the Syros flaunts a premium cabin with a dual-tone interior theme available in three options. Adding to the ambience are 64-colour ambient lighting, a large panoramic sunroof, and a spacious 2nd row with ventilation, sliding and recline functions for rear passengers.
  • Regarding features, the Syros comes loaded with a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system with connected car tech, wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto, a 12.3-inch digital driver’s display, a 5-inch touchscreen unit for climate control, an 8-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, ventilated front & rear seats, wireless charger, powered driver’s seat, and much more.
  • For safety, it comes loaded with six airbags, ABS with EBS, ESC, a 3-point seat belt for all, traction control, ISOFIX child seat anchors, tyre pressure monitoring system, a 360-degree camera, front & rear parking sensors, a dual dashcam setup, an electronic parking brake with auto-hold functionality and Level-2 ADAS.
  • Kia will offer it in 8 colour options: Frost Blue, Sparkling Silver, Gravity Grey, Intense Red, Imperial Blue, Pewter Olive, Glacier White and Aurora Black.

  • Underneath the hood, the Syros is offered with 120PS 1-litre turbo-petrol and 116PS 1.5-litre diesel engines. While a 6-speed manual gearbox is standard, the petrol engine can also be had with a 7-speed DCT unit. On the other hand, the oil burner gets an option of a 6-speed torque converter automatic unit.
  • We expect Kia to price the Syros between Rs 9 lakh and Rs 16.5 lakh (ex-showroom).
  • The Syros has no direct rival in the Indian market. It can be seen as a premium alternative to the Tata Nexon, Mahindra XUV 3XO, Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Maruti Grand Vitara, Toyota Hyryder, Nissan Magnite and Renault Kiger.
