Honda Cars India has recently unveiled the ZR-V hybrid SUV for the Indian market, alongside the launch of the new City facelift. Bookings for this flagship SUV are already underway, while its prices are expected to be revealed in the coming days. It will be offered in a single, fully-loaded variant, and here’s what it is going to offer: –

Honda will offer the ZR-V e:HEV with a 2-litre, 4-cylinder, petrol engine paired with a dual-motor, self-charging, strong-hybrid system, powering all four wheels of the SUV. Here’s a look at its specifications:-

Being a strong-hybrid model, the ZR-V automatically switches between three modes (EV, Hybrid and Engine), combining the best of both motors and engine according to the requirement.
- EV Mode: In this mode, the SUV runs exclusively on the motor, using battery power.
- Hybrid Mode: When more power is required, this mode kicks in the engine to power the driving motor. Additionally, it also utilises battery power during acceleration to provide a more powerful driving experience.
- Engine: The SUV starts drawing power solely from the engine when high power is required, such as during high-speed cruising.

The Honda ZR-V is available in four colour options: Crystal Black Pearl, Platinum White Pearl, Twilight Mist Black Pearl, and Meteoroid Grey Metallic.
Expected Price and Rivals
The ZR-V will be available in limited numbers via the CBU route, with prices likely to range around Rs 40-45 lakh (ex-showroom). Once launched, it will go up against the Volkswagen Tiguan, Skoda Kodiaq and Jeep Meridian.
