Here's How Much You Have To Wait To Get Your New Tata Safari Delivered

Tata has recently brought the Safari moniker back to the Indian market with the three-row version of the Harrier mid-sized SUV. Priced between Rs 14.69 lakh to Rs 21.45 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), the new Tata flagship SUV is doing well for the carmaker and racking up a decent demand. So, if you're eyeing to buy an all-new Safari, you might have to face a waiting period of up to 2.5 months (depending on the city & variants).

Tata Safari waiting period

As per the latest reports, the waiting period in most of the major cities of the country like Delhi, Pune, Chandigarh, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Lucknow, and Indore, is around 60 days, whereas the folks in cities like Bangalore, Chennai, Mumbai, Jaipur, Surat, Gurgaon, Kolkata, Patna, Coimbatore, and Faridabad will have to wait between 1 to 1.5 months to get their hands on the 2021 Safari. Currently, Ghaziabad has the highest waiting period of upto 2.5 months. The top-spec XZA+ with Orcus White and Royal Blue colors is the most demanded trim among buyers. The latest Adventurer Edition is also drawing quite a demand.

The 2021 Tata Safari draws its power from the Fiat-sourced 2.0-liter turbocharged diesel engine that makes out 170PS and 350Nm. The oil burner can be had with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission. The same powertrain also powers the 5-seater Harrier, Jeep Compass, and MG Hector & Hector Plus SUVs. Unlike the previous generations of Safari, its 2021 iteration misses out on a four-wheel-drivetrain (4WD) system.

In the 7-seater mid-size SUV segment, the 2021 Tata Safari rivals the MG Hector Plus and Mahindra XUV500.
