Get Ready To Pay Rs 5,475 For Ather 450X And 450 Plus’s Portable Charger

Highlights: – 

  • Ather will now charge Rs 5,475 for its Dot portable charger. 
  • With this, the Ather 450 Plus and 450X are now priced at Rs 1,31,647 and Rs 1,50,657, respectively (ex-showroom Bengaluru, including FAME II subsidy).
  • Complimentary charging at Ather Grids will be available till June 30, 2022.
  • Free access to Connect Pro Features till May 15, 2022.

Ather Energy has announced that they will be charging an additional Rs 5,475 for the dot/portable home charger on the purchase of the new 450X and 450Plus e-scooters. Until now, it was available for free. The EV maker claims that this is a 50 percent discounted price and will be valid only on the first charger. With this, the effective price of Ather 450 Plus and 450X is now Rs 1,31,647 and Rs 1,50,657 respectively (ex-showroom Bengaluru, including FAME II subsidy). The price will further go down if you avail of the state subsidy. 

For those who aren’t aware, the Ather 450X and 450 Plus come equipped with an IP67-rated 2.9kWh lithium-ion battery and a Permanent Magnet Synchronous (PMS) Motor motor with an output of 3.3 kW. The Ather 450X’s claimed real-world range (called True Range) stands at 85km in Eco mode and 70km under Ride mode, whereas the 450 Plus offers 100km of claimed range in idle conditions. 

In other news, Ather Energy has recently extended free charging for customers at its Ather Grid stations till June 30, 2022. Currently, Ather’s public charging network is present in over 215 locations in 21 cities including Mumbai, Pune, Delhi, Kolkata, Bengaluru, and Chennai. Moreover, Ather is also providing complimentary access to all the Connect Pro features such as onboard navigation, OTA, remote location tracking, remote charge monitoring, etc until May 15, 2022. Besides, the EV maker has also recently revealed its plans of expansion including a new manufacturing plant in Hosur, Tamil Nadu that will be ready by this year. With this, Ather’s annual production capacity will rise to 4,00,000 units from the existing 1,20,000 units.
