Ford EcoSport Gets Dearer By Up To Rs 2,000

American carmaker, Ford had introduced the new Ecosport Titanium AT variant in July month this year. Now, the brand has increased the prices of all automatic trims as well as manual transmission-equipped variants of the sub-4m SUV. Here’s a look at the revised prices: –

As the above table indicates, the prices of EcoSport have been shot up by up to Rs 2,000.

Ford offers EcoSport with both petrol and diesel engine, which includes the 1.5-litre petrol unit (122PS/149Nm) and a 1.5-litre diesel unit (100PS/215Nm). The petrol engine can be had with either a 5-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic gearbox. On the other hand, the 1.5-litre diesel engine only gets the 5-speed manual transmission.

As far as the fuel efficiencies are concerned, the 1.5-litre petrol engine delivers a claimed mileage of 15.9kmpl with the manual and 14.7kmpl with the automatic gearbox, while the diesel unit has a claimed mileage of 21.7kmpl.

In the sub-compact SUV segment, the Ford EcoSport goes up against the likes of the Mahindra XUV300, Hyundai Venue, Kia Sonet, Maruti Vitara Brezza, Tata Nexon, Toyota Urban Cruiser and will also rival the upcoming Nissan Magnite & Renault Kiger.
