The facelifted Honda Amaze is scheduled to be launched on August 18. While its bookings are already underway, the powertrain-wise variant list of the sedan has been revealed now. The updated Amaze will continue to be available in four variants (E, S, V, VX) and four powertrain choices- a 1.2-litre petrol and a 1.5-litre diesel engine, paired with either a 5-speed manual or an optional CVT. However, this time, the second from the base S variant will drop out the diesel-CVT option.
Here's a look at the variant-wise powertrain options of the new Honda Amaze: –
Honda Amaze Variants | Petrol Manual | Petrol CVT | Diesel Manual | Diesel CVT |
E | ✅ | ❌ | ✅ | ❌ |

The 2021 Honda Amaze will also get a host of cosmetical tweaks both inside and outside, along with some added features. For beginners, the facelifted Amaze will receive an updated chrome slat grille, redesigned front bumper, new projector LED headlamps with integrated DRLs, and C-shaped LED tail lamps. There’s also the chrome-finished door handles and new dual-tone alloy wheels (borrowed from the fourth-gen Honda City).
The cabin, on the other hand, will largely remain unchanged except for the silver accents on the dashboard, steering wheel and around the new gear lever. Feature additions will include a larger touchscreen infotainment system and a segment-first electric sunroof. The new infotainment system is expected to get connected car technology along with Alexa voice support and wireless Apple Carplay & Android Auto smartphone connectivity.
Besides, it will continue to get a multi-function steering wheel, a height-adjustable driver seat, keyless entry with push-button start/stop function, cruise control, automatic climate control, and paddle shifters (CVT only). Safety will be covered by dual front airbags, ABS with EBD, ISOFIX, and a rear parking camera.
The upcoming sedan will undoubtedly command a significant price premium over the current model that ranges from Rs 6.32 lakh to Rs 11.11 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Upon arrival, it will continue to battle it out against the Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Tata Tigor, Hyundai Aura, and Ford Aspire.
