Citroen C5 Aircross Official Bookings Open

French carmaker Citroen has officially started the pre-launch bookings for the C5 Aircross. You can book yours at the brand's La Maison dealerships or via the Citroen India website for a token amount of Rs 25,000. The brand is also offering a complimentary maintenance package of 5-yrs/50,000km to buyers who will book the SUV between 1st March and 6th April 2021, and will take delivery by 30th June 2021.

The C5 Aircross will be the first offering from Citroen in the Indian market. It will be offered in two variants: Feel & Shine. Powering the mid-sized SUV will be a 2.0-liter, four-cylinder diesel engine that puts out 177PS of power and 400Nm of torque. The motor will be paired to an 8-speed automatic gearbox and will deliver a claimed ARAI fuel economy of 18.6kmpl. 

Citroen will offer the C5 Aircross in a total of seven exterior paint options, comprising three single-tone and four dual-tone shades. The monotone color choices include Pearl White, Cumulus Grey, Tijuca Blue, and Perla Nera Black. The first three shades will also be available with the contrast black color roof option. The SUV with Peal White color will flaunt orange-colored exterior accents, whereas the other shades will feature silver highlights.

In terms of features, the Citroen SUV will get automatic LED headlamps, 18-inch alloys, panoramic sunroof, an 8.0-inch touchscreen, 12.3-inch digital dials, dual-zone climate control with rear AC vents, auto wipers, powered driver seat, multiple driving modes, 6 airbags, ESC, traction control, park assist, blind-spot monitoring system, coffee break alert, grip control, and more. The Citroen C5 Aircross SUV will come to our shore via the CKD route, with it being assembled at the CK Birla facility in Tiruvallur (Tamil Nadu). Expect it to be priced around Rs 28-30 lakh (ex-showroom). In the Indian market, it will rival the likes of Jeep Compass, Hyundai Tucson, and the upcoming Volkswagen Tiguan.
