BYD Open New Showroom In Chennai

Expanding its footprint in India, the Chinese automaker BYD has opened a new showroom in Chennai. With this, the BYD has now its presence in 18 cities, including Delhi, Gurugram, Jaipur, Mumbai, Pune, Ahemdabad, Lucknow, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Mohali Bengaluru, Indore and more.

Spread across 20,000 square feet with state of the art 3S facility (Sales, Spares & Services), the showroom is located at Ambattur in Chennai. It is one of the largest BYD showrooms in India and has well-trained technicians, service equipment, service bays, a customer lounge and a showroom display floor, offering customers the best in-store experience.

Commenting on this occasion, Mr Sanjay Gopalakrishnan, Senior Vice President of Electric Passenger Vehicle Business, BYD India, said, “We are extremely happy to announce the first passenger vehicles showroom in Chennai with KUN BYD, which will help us penetrate deeper into the Chennai market. We are in the process of expanding our dealer network nationally. The state has been a key part of our growth strategy in India, and we are confident that this dealership will set a new benchmark in the region.”

Currently, BYD has two models in its passenger vehicle lineup: the e6 electric MPV and the Atto 3. While the e6 is already on sale, the Atto 3 is likely to be launched soon. However, its bookings are underway officially.
