BS6 Bajaj Dominar 400 launched; Price and specs

One of the largest Indian two-wheeler manufacturer Bajaj has finally launched the much-awaited BS6 version of its flagship motorcycle Dominar 400 in India. The overall design and dimensions are taken from its predecessor.

BS6 Bajaj Dominar 400: Features & Specifications

It brings with it the following features:-

  • It is powered by a 373.3 cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected engine which produces 35 Nm of torque at 7000 rpm and 40 Ps of power at 8650 rpm which is mated to a 6-speed gearbox and also provides a slipper clutch.
  • It has a beam type perimeter frame with 43mm USD Fork at the front and a monoshock at the rear with a kerb weight of 184 kg which is a bit heavier than the previous version.
  • It comes with twin channel ABS and disc brakes both at the front and rear.
  • It lighten your path with full-LED lighting system. It also features twin barrel exhaust, single-piece handlebar, diamond-cut alloy wheels, split seats, split rear grab tails, digital primary and secondary instrument cluster and a 13 litres fuel tank with a mileage of around 32 kmpl.

What's the Price?

Reportedly, a lot of dealerships started taking bookings last month with a token amount of Rs. 5,000. It has been launched in India at a price tag of Rs 1.91 lakh (ex-showroom). The BS6 model is expensive than the BS4 by Rs. 1,749.

Colors Options

It will be available in 2 colours- Vine Black and Aurora Green.

Rivals

Like the BS4 version, It will go head to head with the KTM Duke 390, KTM RC 390 and Royal Enfield Himalayan.
