The much-awaited Hyundai Bayon has finally been launched in India, with prices starting from Rs 9.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Positioned between the Venue and Creta, it is the brand’s second product in the mid-size SUV segment that will take on the naturally aspirated variants of the Maruti Grand Vitara, Victoris, Toyota Hyryder, and Honda Elevate.
Hyundai Bayon: Exterior Design and Dimensions

At first glance, the Hyundai Bayon looks quirky, featuring a crossoverish stance reminiscent of the brand’s global models. Upfront, it gets a bold, sharp-looking front fascia, with sleek inverted L-shaped LED DRLs connected by a black trim. The main headlamp units are rectangular in shape, positioned below the DRLs, flanking the large air dam. Furthermore, the front bumper features a silver skid plate, enhancing its rugged feel.
The Bayon’s side profile further accentuates its rugged & tough appeal, featuring chunky wheel arches, prominent cladding, sharp character lines and 17-inch dual-tone alloy wheels. Meanwhile, the blacked-out treatment to the roof rails, ORVM housing, shark-fin antenna, and B-pillars further adds a sporty touch to its overall design.
At the rear, it gets a similar LED taillight setup to the front DRLs, with a sleek black band in between. There’s also bold ‘BAYON’ lettering on the centre of the tailgate, along with a squared-off tailgate, an integrated roof spoiler, and a silver skid plate on its muscular blacked-out bumper.
Dimensions
The Bayon is 4245mm long, 1810mm wide, and 1570mm tall, with a wheelbase of 2600mm. Its boot space is rated at 440 litres.
