Bookings Open For Toyota Land Cruiser 300 In India

Toyota India has started accepting bookings for its flagship eight-generation Land Cruiser 300 in India for a token amount of Rs 10 lakh. It will be brought to our shores as a fully imported unit. While its launch date is yet to be revealed, reports are suggesting that its deliveries will start sometime in 2023. Currently, the SUV has a long waiting period in global markets.

For those who aren’t aware, the new-gen Toyota Land Cruiser made its global debut in June last year. It is based on the brand’s all-new GA-F platform and is around 200kg lighter than its previous model. Not only this, but it also possesses a lower center of gravity and enhanced frame rigidity & suspension structure when compared to its predecessor.

Toyota offers the new LC 300 with two twin-turbocharged V6 engine options. These include 3.5-liter petrol and 3.3-liter diesel units. While the gasoline mill is capable of generating a whopping power output of 415PS and a peak torque of 650Nm, the oil burner makes 309PS/700Nm. Both motors come paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission and 4×4 drivetrain as standard. Its Indian-spec version is likely to come only with a diesel engine.
