Variants and Pricing
Unlike the previous model which was available in SportX and Luxury Line variants, the upgraded X3 gets two new petrol variants: SportX Plus (Rs 59.9 lakh) and M Sport (Rs 65.9 lakh).
Design and Features
The new X3 gets a slightly updated front facia, featuring a new connected kidney grille, somewhat similar to the M2 Competition. It also gets restyled adaptive LED headlamps with Daytime Running Lamps (DRLs) that now feature sharper detailing. Another notable change is the new & bolder-looking front bumper that gives the SUV a much more aggressive appearance.
Changes on the side and rear can be seen in the form of new 20-inch ‘M’-branded alloy wheels, revamped 3D LED tail lamps, and redesigned rear bumper with sportier exhaust pipes.
Inside the cabin, the upgraded BMW X3 accumulates a revised center console with new climate controls that are now positioned between the redesigned AC vents. Plus, there’s a new larger 12.3-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system, an updated 12.3-inch fully digital driver display (similar to the BMW 3 Series), and a new gear lever.
Other notable features of the 2022 BMW X3 include three-zone climate control, ambient lighting, powered front seats with memory function, a 16-speaker Harman Kardon sound system, a panoramic sunroof, electronically controlled dampers, a 360-degree camera, parking assist, 6-airbags, front & rear parking sensors, ISOFIX child seat anchorages, electronic stability control (ESC), traction control, and tire pressure monitoring system.
2022 BMW X3 Facelift – Powertrain
The facelifted X3 retains the older 252PS 2.0-liter turbocharged petrol engine that comes mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission and AWD (All-wheel drive) drivetrain. BMW will offer a 190PS 2.0-liter diesel mill in near future.
