BMW Motorrad is gearing up to launch the F 450 GS in India on April 23, and ahead of that, the brand has started accepting bookings for the bike. It is expected to replace the G 310 GS as the entry-level adventure tourer in the brand’s portfolio.
- For those unaware, the BMW F 450 GS was unveiled in production guise at EICMA 2025. Its production is already underway at TVS’s Hosur facility.
- The bike will be powered by a 420cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine producing 48PS of max power and 43Nm of peak torque.
- It will come paired with a 6-speed transmission and the brand’s Shift Assistant Pro technology, which enables clutchless gearshifting.

- Design-wise, it takes inspiration from the flagship BMW R 1300 GS, featuring a prominent front beak, sharp radiator shrouds and muscular fuel tank for a rugged appearance.
- Globally, the F 450 GS comes in four variants: Basic, Exclusive, Sport and Trophy, out of which only the top-spec Trophy variant gets tubeless wire-spoke wheels shod with knobby tyres, while all other variants get alloy wheels with road-biased tyres.
- We expect BMW to price this upcoming ADV tourer from around Rs 4.5-5 lakh (ex-showroom), positioning it against the Benelli TRK 502, Honda NX500, KTM 390 Adventure and the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450.
