Bajaj has recently launched the Freedom 125 CNG bike in India, with prices ranging between Rs 95,000 and Rs 1.10 lakh (ex-showroom). It comes in three variants – NG04 Drum, NG04 Drum LED, and the range-topping NG04 Disc LED variant. Here’s what each variant has on offer: –

The base NG04 Drum variant misses out on LED headlamp, smartphone connectivity, disc brake and tank cover flap. It also gets smaller section tyres compared to other variants.

Similar to the base variant, it is equipped with drum brakes with CBS on both ends. However, the rear drum is slightly larger at 130mm compared to the base variant’s 110mm. It also features larger 90-section front and 120-section rear tires. Additionally, this trim also boasts a sturdier plastic and steel metal bash plate.

The top-spec NG04 Disc LED variant is the most feature-packed, featuring a 240mm front disc brake and a 130mm rear drum brake with CBS. At present, it is exclusively available in Maharashtra and Gujarat.
Bajaj Freedom 125 Engine and Mileage
Powering the new Bajaj Freedom is a 125cc, air-cooled engine that churns out 9.5PS of max power and 9.7Nm of peak torque. It has a top of 90.5 km/h with CNG and 93.4 km/h with petrol engine. It claims a mileage of 102 km per kg (CNG) and 65 km/litre (petrol), offering a combined range of roughly 330 kilometers.
Competition Check
The Freedom 125 has no direct rival in the Indian market. It can be considered as a eco-friendly alternative to other 125cc bikes, such as Honda Shine 125, Hero Glamour, TVS Raider 125, Hero Xtreme 125R and Bajaj Pulsar 125.
